Glenn was born in Findlay, Ohio to the late Gerald and Guyneth (Conine) Garman. Glenn married e Evalyn Fetters on May 15, 1954 in Benton Ridge and she survives in Findlay. Also surviving are his children: Greg (Kathy) Garman of Arlington; Cindy (Randy) Conner of Carey and Jill (Rick) Rowe of Findlay; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister Phyllis Opperman.
Glenn worked for Marathon Petroleum Corporation in the building maintenance department, retiring after 36 years of service. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a1950 graduate of Findlay High School and enjoyed fishing, camping and a good round of golf. Glenn could build anything. People would bring him projects that they couldn’t fix and Glenn would figure out the problem and fix them. He enjoyed working on cars and tinkering around with other projects. The most important thing in Glenn’s life was his family. He loved playing a good card game and spending time with them, whether it was camping, being on the lake or just around the house.
A Memorial Gathering in Glenn’s honor will be on Monday June 20, 2016 from 4:00-8:00 PM in the Lehtomaa Funeral Home, 201 Osborn Ave., Findlay, Ohio 45840. Burial will be private for the family at 10:00 AM in the Arlington Cemetery, with Steven Ramsey officiating.
