Betty Lou Lucado, 68, of Bassett, died Saturday, Sept. 13, 2003 at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County.
Born in Beckley, W.V. on Feb. 1, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Robert Edwards and the late Mabel Harmon Edwards.
She is survived by her husband, William A. Lucado, of the home; three daughters, Kathy L. Trent of Patrick Springs, Deborah L. Cockram of Bassett, and Teresa Gail Lucado of the home; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three sisters, Rossetta Whitley and Norma Linsky, both of Beckley, and Barbara Tedder of Tennessee; two brothers, Donzie Edwards of South Carolina and Lloyd Edwards of Kentucky.
The family will receive friends today from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Bassett Funeral Service chapel. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Patrick Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church, the Rev. Alvin Nunley, Rev. Jack Foley, and Rev. John Shore officiating. Burial will be in the Providence United Methodist Church cemetery. [Martinsville Bulletin]
