He is the son of the late Robert Arthur Edwards and Mable Josephine [Harmon] Edwards.

He died Saturday, January 9, 2021 at his Chesnee, South Carolina home. He was born September 17, 1939 at Killarney , West Virginia.

He was a United States Army veteran; a Christian; and a beloved husband, father, grand-father, and great-grand-father.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Barbara Tedder, Rosetta 'Sissy' Whitely, and Betty Lou Luckado.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years; four daughters; a son; a sister, a brother; 11 grand-children; and eight great-grand-children.

Funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 16, 2021, at the Rose & Quesenberry Funeral Home Chapel, Beckley, with the Rev. Larry Lilly officiating. Burial in Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley.
