Mrs. Abigail Knapp Holman, wife of Judge William S. Holman, ex-Congressman from Indiana, died suddenly about 6 o'clock yesterday evening at her residence 2125 R street northwest. Mrs. Holman suffered from a stroke of paralysis last summer, and since that time her condition had been rather delicate. Mrs. Holman came to Washington last November to spend the winter. When death occurred there were at the bedside the two daughters of the deceased, Mrs. Rhoda Fletcher and Mrs. F. L. Harvey, and Paul Holman of the geological survey. Mrs. Holman was seventy-three years of age and was well known in this city, Judge Holman being in Congress over thirty years. The remains will be taken to Aurora, Ind., for interment.
