Cerkas, David L.

David L. Cerkas, age 69, a Manitowoc resident, died Sunday, June 26, 2016 at his residence.

He was born on April 3, 1947 in Manitowoc, son of the late Leonard F. & Agnes (Smith) Cerkas. David was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, Class of 1965 and also attended the University of Manitowoc for one year. He was employed as a Tool & Die Maker at Paragon Electric, Mirro Aluminum Company, MTM and retired from Beamaco LLC. David enjoyed hunting, fishing with his dad and kids, the Milwaukee Brewers and the Green Bay Packers. He was a hard worker and was happy and well liked and very sociable. David was a member of the Eagles Club and Walleyes for Tomorrow.

Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law: Aaron T. & Lisa Cerkas, Clint C. Cerkas, all of Manitowoc; four grandchildren: Miranda Cerkas & her fiancé Troy, Mason Cerkas, Mitchell Cerkas and Jacob Cerkas; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Gary A. & Valintina Cerkas, AZ., Michael & Kathy Cerkas, Crivitz; two sisters and a brother-in-law: Nancy & Ed Albrecht, Newton and Yvonne Cerkas, Manitowoc; and a life long friend: Terry Heinzen, Manitowoc. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by a son: Adam Cerkas.

Cremation has occurred at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 30, 2016 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Service will be Deacon Bob Beehner with burial of his cremated remains at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.

The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 9:00 a.m. Thursday, June 30, 2016 until 10:45 a.m.
