DEATH OF MRS. ROBERTS
She Passes Away at the Chubb Home in Corning, at the Age of 85 Years
Mrs. Elizabeth Pierce Roberts, mother of Mrs. W.C Chubb, died at the Chub home Monday noon, of old age of 85 years and lived in Corning 25 years having made her home with her daughter from the time of the latter's marriage.
Mrs. Roberts was born in Chillicothe, Ohio June 27, 1813. She was married at Urbana, Ohio in 1835, to Jas. W. Roberts. To them were born eight children, five of whom are living. They are V.P. Roberts of Clarke, county, W.V. Roberts of Grand Junction, Colorado, A.C. Roberts of the same place, O.P Roberts of San Bernardino, California, and Mrs. W.C. Chubb.
Mrs. Roberts was a member of the Methodist church and her funeral was conducted by Rev. W.O. Allen and Father Lovejoy. It was held from the home at 2 o'clock Wednesday. The internment was at Walnut Grove.
