KITZMILLER - Phil Garthwright Duckworth, 70, died of a heart attack Sunday while visiting at the home of a neighbor.

He was a retired coal miner and a member of Local 4365, United Mine Workers of America, Vindex. Mr. Duckworth formerly lived at Vindex but for the past six or seven years had resided alone about three miles west on here on Route 38.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Mona Van Gieson, Bronz, N.Y.; Mrs. Daved Young, Mentor, Ohio, and Miss Nina Duckworth, Pittsburgh; a sister, Mrs. Minnie Nichols, Westernport; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

The body is at the Sharpless Funeral Home, Blaine, W. Va. Rites will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. in Nethken Hill Methodist Church with Rev. William Withers, officiating. Interment will be in the IOOF Cemetery, Elk Garden.
