According to findagrave member NicoleLynn there is a question of Martha's birth and death dates. According to her these dates are very different than what shows on this headstone. Her information shows:

According to R & Kim Handcock John McDaniel was married twice, both women were named Martha, which is what caused the mix up. This Martha M. Grantham 's dates that are engraved are correct, John married Martha M Grantham 1846 and had 3 girls, Mary, Harriett and Cyntha. She died and John then married Martha Stockton, in 1855. I have also included her obit on her memorial that I have added. I have been working on linking the children to them to fix this and have requested a photo of the marker with the lichen brushed off so we can see the month she died.
