Abigail Higgins, b. 1762, d. Mar 22, 1845, Milton, Chittenden County, Vermont. She married in Nov., 1785, Newfane, Vermont, Ephraim Fuller, b. May 23, 1762, Concord, Middlesex, Massachusetts. d. July 31, 1842, Chatham, Province of Quebec, Canada. He was the son of Benjamin Fuller and Anna Blood.

"Abigail was a pensioner on account of Ephraim's service during the Revolutionary War. She applied for the pension on Oct. 4th, 1844 at Georgia, Vermont, where her son James, 55 years of age, was living, and who made an affidavit in the case. Ephraim Fuller enlisted in 1775 or 1776 into the Continental Army at Lancaster, and was discharged at West Point in 1781 or 82. Was in Battle of White Plains, Stony Point, and others. His last deed of land in Newfane, Vt. was dated May 30, 1803, about the time he removed to Chatham, Quebec."

Ephraim Fuller's pension file states that he was wounded at the Battle of White Plains (New York) at a place called Valentine's Hill. He was also at the Battle of Saratoga. He first made application for Pension benefits on July 2, 1819, while living at Grand Isle, Vermont.
