They will celebrate teir golden wedding anniversary on Sunday, December 29 at an open house at the home of their son-in-law and daughter, Mr & Mrs C.D.Miller, 130, Airport Road, Mount Hope, from 2 to 4 in the afternoon and from 7 to 9 in the evening.
Mr and Mrs Blunt were married by the late Rev. H.G. Livingston, at the home of Mr Blunt's aunt.
Mrs Blunt, the former Jane Ann Ryder, was born at Rosedale Abbey, Yorkshire, England, and came to Canada in 1912. Mr Blunt, who came to Canada in 1911, was born at Mexborough, Yorkshire.
The couple has three children: Mrs C.D. Miller (Doris) of Mount Hope, and Albert and Leslie, both of Hamilton. They also have four grandchildren.
Mr Blunt served overseas during the First World War with the 19th Battalion, CEF. He has been active in many veterans organisations until recent years.
