Daughter of Soren and Borni Refsness in a family of six on 23 March 1863 in Dale Suniford, Norway.
Married Christian Sletteland in June 1885. In summer 1886 the came to US with their only child, an infant Mads. They came to the home of her Uncle Jens Staff. Her husband died in 1894. She lived on the farm with her son and then grandson Chester Sletteland until Mads and his wife moved to Pigeon in the mid 1940s.
Was still living on her birthday March 23, 1955.
