Carolyn JoAnn Parrish - age 70 of Clare, passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at Mid Michigan Medical Center - Clare. She was born on May 26, 1946 the daughter of Norman and Etta (Williams) Abbott in Stockbridge, Michigan. Carolyn married Jack Parish on August 5, 1971, who preceded her in death on September 1, 1997. She was a collector of humming bird memorabilia and Beanie Babies. She loved doing crossword puzzles, jig-saw puzzles, and watching the Hallmark Channel.
Carolyn is survived by three children: Scott Jewell of Weidman, Robert Parrish and Angie Hurlburt of Sears, and Penny Jewell and Matt Smith of Clare; seven grand children: Tasha Jewell (John Slabough), Mandy Yancer (Jason Lytle), Amber Parrish, Mackenzie Jewell, Cadence Jewell, Dakoda Jewell, Kassidy Fenton and Jasmine Parrish; seven great grandchildren: Abigail, Hunter, Jayden, Cameron, Dominic, Lou, and Madeline; a brother, Jerry Abbott and wife Jean of Lake George; two sisters: Paula Maeder of Weidman, and Judy Casey and husband George of Gladwin. She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons: Randy Jewell and Kevin Parrish; and a brother, Jim Abbott.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at the Campbell Stocking Funeral Home, Farwell. Pastor Willard Dean will officiate with burial following in Garfield Township Cemetery. Visitation for Carolyn will be on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 from 4 to 8 PM and on Wednesday from 9 to 11 AM prior to the service.
