Ila was the eighth of ten children born to George Daniel and Elizabeth Pruella 'Lizzie' (Sherrill) Moose. She married Roy Lee Sherrill in 1915 and they were the parents of twelve children; Grace, Harold, Kenneth Chub, Eva Nell, Roy Pinkney, Christine, Thomas, Renn, Margaret, Marie, Dorothy and Winfred.

STONY POINT - Mrs. Ila Moose Sherrill 96, homemaker, died Aug. 22, 1993, at Iredell Memorial Hospital in Statesville. Funeral is 3 p.m. Wednesday at Elk Shoals ARP Church.
Visitation is 7 to 8:30 tonight at Adams Funeral Home.
Survivors are her sons, Harold Sherrill, Kenneth Sherrill, both of Statesville, R.P. Sherrill, Renn Sherrill of Taylorsville, Winford Sherrill, Thomas Sherrill; daughters, Mrs. Grace Johnson of Taylorsville, Mrs. Margaret Pope of Newton, Ms. Eva Sherrill, Mrs. Christine Honeycutt, Mrs. Marie Johnson, Mrs. Dorothy Martin.
Memorials may be made to Elk Shoals ARP Church, Route 1, Stony Point, N.C. 28678.
