Services for Charles Adkins, 63, will be today in Macer-Hall Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mount Summit Cemetery.
Mr. Adkins died Wednesday in Henry County Memorial Hospital.
He was a lifelong New Castle resident. He worked in construction most of his life and also worked for Consumer Ice and Fuel Co. and the City of New Castle. He was a member of the Moose and Eagles Lodges and Henry Conservation Club.
Survivors include his wife, Lois; seven daughters, Sheryl Woodward, Gail Haggard, Deborah Amonett, Beth Ann Oakerson, Teresa Adkins and Misty Jo Falin; two sons, Tony Lane Adkins and Mike Raines; his mother, Frances Craig; three sisters, Ruby Williams, Judy Teeters and Donna Sue Cassitas; and three brothers, Tommy, Jimmy and Donnie Adkins.
A son and three brothers are deceased.
