Peter Andresen was born in Husum Schleswig-Holstien to Jens Andresen (born in Oldersheck Germany) and Anna Petersen (born in Rantrum Germany) and came to America, direct to Davenport at age 21 (1871). He married Mrs. Anna Peterson (with an o) nee Johansen and moved to Chicago where they lived for a number of years, then returned to Pleasant Valley. She died in 1911 and they had no children together. Surviving is one brother, Hans and a sister in Germany. Both his wife and mother were Anna Peterson and Anna Petersen. He had been living with B. F. Blackman.
