Earl Harrison, also known as Pastor Earl Harrison, was a liberal religious, political and social leader and activist, who worked his outreach in Thomasville, NC and Davidson County, NC until the time of his death. With a diverse group of people in Thomasville and Lexington during his life, which included Jason Varner, Chris Aldridge and David Speight, he worked to spread the cause of liberty and social justice and correct the problems that existed in the political atmosphere of the Thomasville community. Earl is most remembered for his religious and political life, which included his own ministry, radio station, and political campaigns. Earl ran for Mayor of Thomasville in 2011 but was unsuccessful. Although he never achieved public office, he would remain active in Thomasville and the surrounding areas until the end, never giving up his visions.

He is remembered for his very tolerant and accepting mind toward others, his great sense of humor, and dedication to his religion, family and community.

He died at his station, WEOM/WTZO 103.1 radio, on May 30th, 2015; he was 52 years old.
