Mrs. Sophia C. West, wife of Phillip L. West, died Sunday morning at one o'clock at her home 1813 Millington street, after a sickness of only a short time. The ultimate cause of her death was probably due to heart trouble. One daughter, Miss Caroline West, arrived the latter part of the week from Zion City, Illinois, reaching here in time to see her mother before the end came. Another daughter, Mrs. Thos. Lewis arrived Tuesday from Zion City, and the funeral was held Wednesday.
