Mary Weeden Olcott was the daughter of John M. Weeden and Maria Satterly of Orange Co., New York. The Weeden family left New York, and settled in Adams Co., Illinois, about 1835. Mary married Elisha Olcott on 4 October 1842 in Adams Co., Illinois. She was his second wife. Mary and Elisha settled first in Cass Co., Illinois, where their children were born. They moved to Douglas Co., Kansas, in the early 1860's and were in Osage Co., Kansas, in the 1870's.
There were four known children from her marriage with Elisha Olcott: Elisha Olcott (III); Amelia Olcott Sargent; Mary "May" Olcott Patterson; and William S. Olcott.
