Alfonso Cox served in Company B. 24th U.S. Infantry in World War One.

Alfonso was still service after the end of the war as he is listed as a soldier at Camp Furlong, Luna, NM in the 1920 census. It also states he was born in Alabama and both his parents were natives of Alabama.

When he died on Oct 21, 1925 in Broadview, IL, his death certificate stated he was 23 years old and married, residing at 3351 Indiana Ave., Chicago, IL and that he was born in Alabama on Dec 6, 1901 the son of Carrow and Ada Cox and that he was buried at Lincoln Cemetery on Oct 24, 1925.
