Mary Jane Holdright Little

Mary Jane Holdright, daughter of Edward Holdright, married Philip Francis Little, son of Cornelius Little, at Kingstown [now Dun Laoghaire] on 4th May 1864.
She was about 19 years of age, he was about 41 years of age.
She noted in the 1911 census that she had given birth to 13 children.

In the 1901 census, the Little family were living at New Brighton, Blackrock, Co. Dublin.
present were,
Mary Jane Little, aged 56, a Land Owner, a widow, born in Dublin City,
Mary A., daughter, aged 33, born in Dublin City,
Cornelius W., son, aged 31, a Civil Engineer, born in Dublin County,
Joseph C., aged 28, a Barrister-at-law, born in Dublin County,
Dominic D., son, aged 22, born in Dublin County,

4 domestic servants were also present.

Her son Patrick Little was recorded as a 16 year old pupil at Clongowes Wood College, Clane, Co. Kildare. He had been born in Co. Dublin.
Her son Robert Little was recorded as a 35 year old student at the Jesuit college at Milltown Park, Dublin. He had been born in Newfoundland,
Her son Philip Francis Little, was recorded as a 34 year boarder at Sandymount Road, Dublin. His occupation was given as "Art & Literature". he had been born in Newfoundland.

In the 1911 census, the Little family were living at New Brighton, Blackrock, Co. Dublin.
present were,
Mary Jane Little, aged 66, a widow,
She had given birth to 13 children, 9 of whom were still alive, [7 children were born in Co. Dublin, 2 children were born in the Colony of Newfoundland].

Cornelius W., son, aged 41, a Civil Engineer & Assistant Architect,
Edward J., son, aged 40, a barrister-at-law, single,
Joseph C., son, aged 38, a barrister-at-law, single,
Patrick J., son, aged 26, a Solicitor's Apprentice, single,

all of the above children were born in Co. Dublin.

3 domestic servants were also present.

Death
Mary Jane Little, aged 69, a widow, widow of the late Judge Little, died at her home, 6, New Brighton, Monkstown, on 29 March 1914.
The cause of death was Degeneration of the Heart - duration unknown, Angina Pectoris, 3 or 4 minutes.
The informant of her death was A. Kearney, of the same address, who was present when she died.
