Ronald was born in Livingston on Dec. 27, 1939, to Chet and Irene Ross Baker. He was raised in Bozeman through high school.
Ronald spent a term in the National Guard.
He spent most of his life working for a number of tire companies in Bozeman, California and Kalispell, and was a master of his trade.
He spent as much time outdoors as possible. He loved gardening, hunting, fishing, etc.
Ronald will be missed by his family and friends.
Ronald was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Baker, on May 21, 2015; parents, Chet and Irene Baker; his son, Duane Baker; and his sister, Dorothy Wahl.
Ronald is survived by two children, Dennis Baker and Ronda Prusner of California; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three brothers, Joe Baker of Three Forks, Tom Baker of Bozeman and Ron’s twin brother Donald Baker of Deer Lodge. His wife Mary has a number of relatives that were close to Ronald: stepchildren, daughter Wanda Ives, and son Terry and wife Lori Hendrickson and family from Three Forks; and stepgrandson, Joe Paddock, wife Tracy, and four children, Trynn, Mallory, Isaac and Shay, of Kalispell.
There was a graveside service with military honors held Aug. 8 at C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery in Kalispell.
