JOE F. KARMAN (d. 1984)

Joe F. Karman, 68, of Route 1, Denmark, died Thursday afternoon, November 29,
at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Tisch
Mills. The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated by Rev. Roy Crain. The Holy
Name Choir will sing. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Mr. Karman was born November 17, 1916, in the Town of Franklin, Kewaunee County,
son of the late Joseph G. and Mary Drab Karman. He married Rosemary Schadeberg
on September 27, 1941, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Clarks Mills. He farmed on
the home farm. Mr. Karman was a musician for over 50 years and they had a
Testimonial Dinner at Riverdale Ballroom on December 10, 1982. He started with
his father at an early age and played the trumpet later with the Joe Karman
Orchestra. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Tisch Mills and the Holy
Name Society. Mr. Karmen (sic) was a member of the Kewaunee Federation of Musicians
Local 604, an honorary member of the Manitowoc Musicians Local 195, a member of
the Wisconsin Polka Boosters and a member of Czecks of Norman and the Wisconsin
Czecks Association.
Survivors include his wife, Rosemary; two sons and daughters-in-law, Roger and
Peggy Karman of Mishicot and William and Cathy Karman of Route 1, Denmark; two
daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Ken Koenig of Route 1, Denmark, Kay and
Keith Hein of Green Bay; a brother, Ludger Karman of Manitowoc; four sisters,
Mrs. Lillian Bates and Mrs. Dan (Irene) Staral of Milwaukee, Mrs. Norman (Mayme)
Foreman of Manitowoc, and Mrs. Milton (Rosella) Maly of Larrabee, and 14 grand-
children.
Friends may call at Lambert Funeral Home, Mishicot, after 4 o'clock this Friday
afternoon where a memorial service will be at 8 o'clock.
