Mr. Karman was born May 16, 1883, in the Town of Franklin, Kewaunee County, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Karman. He married Mary Drab July 10, 1906, at Norman, Wis. They resided in the Town of Franklin until moving to Manitowoc a few months ago.

He was a farmer, carpenter and musician for 65 years, played with the Joe Schauer and Reggie Plohar and Mishicot Brass Bands, and for 25 years had his own orchestra. He was a member of Musicians Local No. 195.

Survivors include four daughters, two sons, 22 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

His wife preceded him in death in May. A son and a daughter also preceded him in death.
