Clara Bright Broughton age 79, formerly of Knox County, died Wednesday, August 10, 2016 in the Cedarview Nursing Home in Lebanon, Ohio. Clara was born on October 12, 1936, at Hammond, Kentucky. She was a daughter of the late William Bright and Anna Mills Bright.
Clara was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Cincinnat, Ohio and attended the Living Word Baptist Church in Ohio. On July 1, 1959, she united in marriage to Ova Lee Broughton and to this union, a daughter and two sons were born.
Along with her husband, Ova, she was preceded in death by sisters; Kathleen Bright, and Wilma Bright; her brothers; Clofus Bright, Carl Lee Bright, and William Bright.
Clara is survived by her loving children; daughter, Gwindolin McFarland and husband, Glenn of Oxford, Ohio; sons; Ronald Lee Broughton and wife, Angie of Maneville, Ohio; Billy Ray Broughton of West Chester, Ohio, sisters; Lucy Gambrell of Lawrenceburg, Indiana; and Lorraine Bright of Amelia, Ohio; her brothers; Clifford Bright of Blue Ash, Ohio; Cecil Bright of Kentucky; her grandchildren; Daniel Broughton, Lisa Broughton, Joseph Broughton, Chad Broughton, Ronnie Broughton, Tiffany Broughton and Jenny McFarland; her great grandchildren; Kamron Miller and Gracie Broughton.
Funeral Services for Clara Broughton will be conducted in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel, Sunday, August 14, 2016 at 10:00 am, with Rev. Arthur McFarland officiating. Burial will follow in the A.R. Dyche Memorial Park in London with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Friends will be received at the Hopper Funeral Home Saturday, 5:00 to 7:00pm and after 9:00 am Sunday until the funeral hour at 10:00 am.
