Bertha Betz
Newport News -- Bertha Betz, 88, died Thursday, June 20, in her home.
A native of Pala Alto, Schuylkill County, Pa, she was formerly a resident of Tamaqua, Pa.
Mrs Betz is survived by three daughters, Doris Ugolick of Newport News, with whom she made her home, and Evelyn Curvey and Helene D'Angelo of Tamaqua; a son, Charles Betz of Sherman Oaks, Calif; a sister, Bessie Shollenberger of St Clair, Schuylkill County, Pa; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
The body will be taken to Roche Funeral Home, Tamaqua, for a funeral service and burial.
Peninsula Funeral Home is in charge locally.
