MEMORIAL CARD: Mrs. Eliza Clark, died February 10th, 1899. Aged 88 years, 7 months, 21 days.

Dearest mother, thou hast left us, And thy loss we deeply feel, But tis God that has bereft us, He can all our sorrows heal. Yet again we hope to meet thee, When the day of life is fled, When in Heaven with joy to greet thee, Where no farewell tear is shed.

GOOSE HILL CEMETERY: My grandmother took me to this unmarked cemetery, in Rutland, Worcester Co., MA. She called it Gooseneck Cemetery, but I believe it is now called "Goose Hill" Cemetery. Grandmother showed me a spot at the very back corner of the cemetery where Luther and his wife Eliza are buried. There are several illegible headstones in this area, but we do not know if they had a headstone or not.

CEMETERY LOCATION: It is on a steep embankment on the northwest side of the road. It shows on the Rutland, MA map as being on Charnock Rd, which runs northerly from Rte. 68 in North Rutland. At this point, across Rte. 68 is another road called River Road, actually a continuation of Intervale Rd." I took a picture of a house across the street near the cemetery to use as a landmark in case I needed to find it again. It was a two story house, that was yellow, and the address on the mailbox was #244.
