Mrs. Smith was born May 25, 1936, in Fannin County, the daughter of Dallas Monroe and Mary Melinda Woody, was formerly employed for many years at Kmart and was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Charles Smith; and two brothers, Earl and John Woody.
Surviving are her children, Charles and LeRoyce Smith of Cartersville, Debra and Erwin Holcomb of Adairsville, Sue and Ronny Culver of Cartersville, Ann and Andy Ingle of Cartersville, Becky and Mark Mayton of Cartersville; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Ruth Champion of Canton, Ruby Johnson of Riverdale, Wilda Lunsford of Blairsville, Louise Wilson of Lakewood; a brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Bea Woody of Woodstock; a sister-in- law, Faye McClure of Cartersville; and nieces and nephews.
Geraldine "Gerri" was a very close friend of my mother, she
also baby sat for my son Ryan when he was a baby. She was such a sweet and loving lady.
