Charlotte E. Eisenhart, 98, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Lutheran Life Villages - the Village at Pine Valley. Born July 18, 1918 in Wabash County, she was a daughter of the late William and Charlotte (Wolf) Koch. Charlotte graduated from Urbana High School and served in the US Army from 1943-46 where she was a Sergeant and secretary in the General's office. She married the late Russell Eisenhart in 1946 and was a homemaker for over 60 years and also a member of Salem United Church of Christ for over 50 years. In addition to being a homemaker, Charlotte worked various jobs such as a salesperson at Wolf & Dessauer, working at the soda fountain at Meyer Drug, selling magazines for local schools as fundraising events, and volunteering at the voting polls. She enjoyed walking the mall and playing bingo with her many friends. She is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins. She was also preceded in death by her son, David Eisenhart in 1964; brothers, Lawrence and Paul Koch; and sisters, Alice Krauskopf, Rosaleen Able, and Ethel Marie Wagner. Funeral Service will be Monday, August 22, 2016 at 11:00am at Salem United Church of Christ, 2401 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior; Pastor Larry Holderbaum officiating. Calling will also be Sunday, August 21, 2016 from 2-6pm at Hockemeyer and Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Rd., Fort Wayne. Burial at Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne. Memorials may be made to the church or to Honor Flight of NE Indiana.
