Agatha Touchstone Ventress, 81, of Houston, Texas, died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2002, at Woodland Memorial Hospital in Tumball, Texas.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. today, at Zion Rest Congregational Methodist Church Cemetery in Eucutta.
A native of Vossburg, she attended school in Pachuta.
She was a outstanding basketball player.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Albert Larkin and Lucy McNeill Touchstone; husband, Dave Ventress Sr.;three brothers, Otis Touchstone, Harry Touchstone and John Larkin Touchstone Sr.; and five sisters, Pearl Rogers, Ethel Brownlee, Mildred Moore, Ruby Smith and Bernice Clark.
She is survived by a daughter, Nancy Paige of Spring, Texas; a son David Ventress Jr. of Magnolia, Texas; a grandson, David Duvain Paige; a granddaughter, Jennifer Rhodes; a great-granddaughter, Meghin Rhodes; a great-grandson, Marcus Rhodes; a sister-in-law, Helen D. Touchstone; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of fiowers, contributions may be made to Zion Rest Congregational Methodist Church, 315 Eucutta Rd, Shubuta, Ms.
