Mrs. Lois Fuller Butler, age 79, of Rockwood went to be with the Lord on August 18, 2016. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Rockwood for 70 years, after accepting Jesus Christ as her lord and savior at age 9. She was a retired telephone operator with South Central Bell.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 44 years, Bob Butler; parents Henry and Elizabeth Fuller; sister, Marjorie Williams and husband Jesse; brother David Fuller; and sister-in-law Linda Fuller.

She is survived by her beloved son, Greg Butler and wife Lori of Knoxville; and the joy of her life, grandsons Alex and Seth Butler; sisters, Mildred Russell (Raymond), Virginia Roddy (Kenneth), Betty Henley (Butch); brother, Eddie Fuller; sister-in-law, Susan Fuller; dear friends, Donna Foland, Ada East, Shirley Payne, David Meiste, and Lois Mattson; and several nieces and nephews.

The Family would like to extend Special Thanks to the staff of NHC Oak Ridge; caregivers, Margo Fairbanks and Deanna Moses; and physician of many years, Robert G. Thompson II.

Arrangements are announced as follows:

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 22, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the Chapel of Evans Mortuary in Rockwood. Funeral will follow at 7:00pm with Rev. Marty Shodoan, officiating. Graveside ceremony will be held on Tuesday, August 23 at 11:00 am at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Rockwood, Family and Friends will gather at the Cemetery at 11:00am for the service. . In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Rockwood Building Renovation fund in memory of Lois. Evans Mortuary of Rockwood is in charge of arrangements and serving the Butler Family.
