Ms. Northway was born in Chicago and recently moved to The Villages from Minnesota.
She had been employed by the Wisconsin Department of Social Services; she and her husband owned a farm in Central Wisconsin for several years; she was a lifelong Catholic and member of various parishes throughout her life.
Survivors include her daughters Barbara Davis, The Villages, Carolyn Yochum, Boise, Idaho, Elizabeth Pech, Dixon, IL, Anna Koehler, Carbondale, CO; sons David, Shakopee, MN, Stephen, Baxter, MN, John, Amery, WI; 30 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; sisters Jean Culligan, Indian Head Park, IL, and Therese Morrissey, Godfrey, IL.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 8:30 a.m. Thursday May 26, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Bushnell with the Rev. Pedro Zapata, celebrant. Family services also will be held in both Minneapolis and LaGrange, IL.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Cornerstone Hospice in Sumter County, 601 Casa Bella, The Villages, FL 32162. Beyers Funeral Home & Crematory, Lady Lake, is in charge of arrangements.

Jane was born in Chicago, IL to parents Clifford and
Sadie Woodbury (both deceased). "Cliff" her father was
an Indianapolis race driver of the period who came in
third in the "Indy 500" in 1926. She married Elmer E.
Northway Sept. 28, 1940. She is survived by seven of
her eight children: Barbara Davis, The Villages, FL;
Edward Northway (deceased); Carolyn Yochum, Boise,
ID; Elizabeth Pech, Dixon, IL; David Northway,
Shakopee, MN; Stephen Northway, Baxter, MN; Anna
Koehler, Carbondale, CO; and John Northway, Amery,
WI. She is also survived by thirty grandchildren and
forty-one great-grandchildren.
She was the first of five children two of whom survive:
Jean Culligan, Indian Head Park, IL and Therese
Morrissey, Godfrey, IL. She was preceded in death by
sister Barbara Burdick and brother Clifford Woodbury.
She recently moved to The Villages where she resided
with her daughter Barbara and son-in-law Dr. Thomas
Davis. She had been both a homemaker and
professional with the Wisconsin Department of Social
Services. She and her husband also owned a farm in
Central Wisconsin for several years after moving from
the suburban Chicago area. She and her husband retired
to MN and later AZ. She returned to MN and recently
to FL. Her husband preceded her in death in 1998. She
was a lifelong Catholic and was a member of various
parishes throughout her life. A Mass of Christian
Burial will be held Thursday May 26, 2011 at 8:30 AM
at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Bushnell, Fl with
Father Pedro Zapata, Celebrant. Family services will
