She was born August 29, 1932 in Washburn the daughter of Walter and Lora (Sparks) Bruton.
In November, 1960 in Akron, Ohio she was united in marriage to Clifford Earl Wilson who preceded her in death on March 28, 2007. Also preceding her in death were her parents; one son, Steven; one daughter, Teresa; one sister, Ruth Lay and three brothers, Bobby Ray, Jim and Lloyd Bruton.
Surviving are one son, Carey Wilson and his wife Tammy of Van Buren, Arkansas; one daughter, Suzie Wilson of Joplin, Missouri; one grandson Matt Wilson of Van Buren, Arkansas; three sisters, Irene Overman of Seligman, Missouri, and Mary Rose and Norma Harris both of Washburn, Missouri.
Polly grew up and received her education at Washburn where she graduated from high school. In 1964 she moved to Commerce City, Colorado remaining there until 1988. During that time she cared for approximately 160 foster children, along with hundreds of other children who called her mom or grandma. She was a member of Mission Baptist Church.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 27, 2016 in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor Dayton Brattin will conduct the services. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery, Cassville.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Friday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.
