George Ray Foster, 67 of Denton, died Sunday at Flow Memorial Hospital. He was born April 2, 1919, in McKinney, and married Betty Copeland October 31, 1938 in Denton. He was a member of Centerpoint Baptist Church, veteran of the Army and a foreman of the city of Denton's landfill.
Service will be at 1pm Tuesday in Goen-Hudgens funeral chapel with Rev. Roger Schaff officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park.
Survivors include his wife, Betty of Denton; four sons, George Dwayne, James Dennis and Gary Thomas Foster all of Denton; David Ray Foster of Dorchester; a brother Gus Foster of Lewisville; two sisters, Mary Foster Copeland of Denton and Euleta Wade of Fort Worth. 18 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 for visitation.
