George Dwayne "Catfish" Foster was born September 5, 1941, to George Ray and Betty Zane Foster in Denton County. He died September 8, 2023, at his home in Sanger, Texas.

Dwayne grew up in Denton, Texas with his parents and brothers Gary, David, and James Foster. He married the love of his life, Mary Jean Higgins, on June 2, 1958.

Dwayne worked as a butcher for over 36 years. He had many passions including fastpitch softball, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.

Dwayne was preceded in death by his parents and brothers. He is survived by Jeanie Foster, his wife of 65 years. His three children: Donnie Foster and wife Donna, Tim Foster and wife Debra, Cyndi Pelzel and significant other Mike Russell. His grandchildren: Stacie David and husband Jeremy, Zachary Foster and significant other Lakrica, Jordan Foster and wife Bethany, Michael Foster and wife Melissa, Amanda Coulter and husband Cody, Taylor Medler, Chase Medler and significant other Bailey Ashmore. 13 great grandchildren, and his basset hound named Blue Belle.

Services will be held at Bolivar Baptist Church in Bolivar, Texas on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at 2:30pm.

Officiating: Jeremy Foster
Pall Bearers: Michael Foster, Zachary Foster, Jordan Foster, Chase Medler, Jaxon David, and Hank David

Graveside service will follow at Bolivar Cemetery.
