Sterling D. Evans, 48, 172
East Main Street, Westminster,
died Monday. Dee 24, 1960, at
the Brookfield Manor Nursing
Home, Middleburg, following a
long illness.

He was a son of John H. Evans.
Westminster, and the late
Lillian Barber Evans. He was
a member of the Westminster
Methodist Church. Until illness
prevented, he was a barber,
having been associated in business
with his father on East
Main Street, Westminster.

Surviving besides his father
is his wife, Dorothy Tinkler Evans,
two sons and a daughter,
Sterling D. Evans, Jr., Westminster
R.D. 5; John D. Evans,
C. S. Air Force, San Antonio.
Texas, and Linda V. Evans, at
home; one grandchild; a sister
and two brothers, Mrs. Stella
E. Kraft, Westminster; J. Gerald
Evans, Westminster, and
Joseph H. Evans, Bethel Road,
near Westminster.

Funeral services will be held
today, Thursday, Dec. 29, at 2
p.m. at the Myers Funeral
Home, Westminster. His pastor,
the Rev. Robert H. Hiller,
will officiate and burial will be
in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
Finksburg.
