William E. Gase, 62, of 821 Central Ave., died 8:25 p.m., October 6, 2002, at his residence.
He was born Sept. 20, 1940, in Fostoria, to Virgil M. and Matilda (Hoepf) Gase. He married Patricia Evanczuk and they divorced. Now, Patricia Babb, she survives in Charleston, S.C. He then married Barbara Bolen, and she survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Timothy R. Gase, Pickerington, and Thomas A. Gase, Fostoria, and a daughter, Michelle M. Gase, Columbus; two step-sons, John Bolen, Findlay, and Brian Bolen, Lima; a step-daughter, Jennifer Kramer, Fostoria; a stepmother, Gracemarie Vermillion-Gase, Findlay; two brothers, Robert J. Gase, Fostoria and George Gase, San Diego; three sisters, Sister Virginia Gase OSF, Tiffin, and Mrs. Jack (Betty) Brink and Mrs. Jan (Kathleen) Miller, both of Findlay; and 12 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Gase and two sisters, Marlene Gase and Mary Bame.
Mr. Gase was a carpenter.
He was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Eagles Aerie 430 and 3rd Degree Knight of Columbus Council 1197, and a former member of the Fostoria Elks.
He was a 1958 graduate of St. Wendelin High School.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Wendelin Catholic Church. Burial arrangements are pending.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at Hoenig Funeral Home, where a Christian wake service will be at 8:30 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
Memorials may be made to Bridge Home Health & Hospice, Findlay.
