She attended school, also Sunday school and church at Wilmot until the family moved to Winfield in June, 1944. She was attending Junior high school at the time of her death. She was a loveable character and wanted to be friends to everyone.
She leaves to mourn her passing her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Havens of Winfield, one brother, John Havens at home and one brother, Pfc. Sherman L. Havens with the armed forces based on Siapan. Also a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Funeral services were held at the Wilmot church on Monday at 2:00 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Dean Gleason. John Dickens and daughter, Mrs. Ruth Lewis sang, "When He Cometh," "Heart Aches" and Beckoning Hands."
