American Actress. She will best be remembered for her role as Mona "Hatchet-Face" Malnorowski in John Waters' 1990 cult classic 'Cry-Baby'. The daughter of an attorney, she was inspired at an early age to be an entertainer, however she followed in her father's footsteps and completed her education at the Loyola University School of Law. In early 1985, Waters was working on a script for a new film entitled 'Hatchet-Face', which subsequently became 'Cry-Baby'. In 1989, McGuire answered an ad in a trade paper and was cast in the role of "Hatchet-Face", in the film which starred Johnny Depp and Ricki Lake. Among other films she appeared in were 'Disturbed' and 'Serial Mom', and would also have roles in such television movies and series as 'Acting on Impulse', 'Dream On' and 'On the Air'. By the mid-1990s, she abandoned her film career and in December 1997, she was admitted to the California State Bar and began working as an attorney in Los Angeles, specialising in entertainment and appellate law.
