Cemetery Official's Wife
Mrs. Helen Martinson Brown, 57, of 95 Florence St. who lived all but four years of her life in Yonkers, died Saturday. She attended the Crescent Place Reformed Church when it was first formed 50 years ago, and has been a member since.
She was born in New York City July 29, 1904, the daughter of the late Martin and Emma Bergquist Martinson. She was married to Arthur D. Brown, an official of the Woodlawn Cemetery, March 30, 1935, who survives. She was a graduate of School Fourteen and Yonkers High School.
She leaves also a son, Arthur D. Brown, Jr., and three sisters, Mrs. Herbert L. (Mildred) Thal of Chatham, N.J., Mrs. Elwood N. (Gladys) Gray of Yonkers, and Mrs. David V. (Gertrude) Cunard of Mamaroneck.
