A graveside service will be 10 a.m. Monday in Guinston United Presbyterian Cemetery, Brogue. There will be no viewing. The Burg Funeral Home Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion, is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Kauffman was born on May 3, 1936 in Chanceford Township. He was the son of the late Clyde and Ella (Boyd) Kauffman.
He had worked as a carpenter for Stoltzfus Contractors and also was a truck driver for Penn Tire of Dallastown.
A U.S. Navy veteran, he was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 556.
Mr. Kauffman also is survived by two brothers, Robert M. Kauffman of Felton RR 2, and Larry R. Kauffman of Brogue RR 1; four sisters, Audrey G. Markel of Red Lion, Beulah A. Axe of York, Constance M. Druck of Felton RR 2, and Shelby A. Almoney of Delta RR 3; a stepdaughter, Nancy Bruce of Craley; five step-grandchildren; and four step-great-granchildren.
Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Albert R. Horst, pastor of Shenberger's Chapel and St. Paul's United Methodist churches, Craley.
