YORK Alma I. (Ness) Kauffman, 80, of Springettsbury Township, died Tuesday at York County Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Ralph C. Kauffman.The service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Home Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. Burial will be in Blymire's United Church of Christ Cemetery. Viewing will be 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Kauffman was born Jan. 18, 1916, in York County. She was the daughter of the late Howard L. and Anna L. (Kilgore) Ness.

Mrs. Kauffman is survived by a daughter, Nancy M. Bruce of Craley; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three brothers, Ervin Ness of Red Lion, Harold Ness of York and Clyde Ness of Tennessee; and four sisters, Katherine Baker of Wrightsville, Ruth Porterfield of Hershey, Alverta Beck of Lancaster and Ada Hershey of York.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Rev. Marvin R. Keller, pastor of Pleasant View Brethren in Christ Church.
