My paternal Great-Grandmother. In Italy, women keep their last name, so Amelia's maiden name was Pedron and not Albieri.

She married Ottorino Albieri, one of the talented glass artisans (glass blowers) of Murano. Amelia and Ottorino, met when he came to Padova (Padua) from his hometown of Venezia (Venice). Amelia was a native of Padova.

Amelia and Ottorino soon married and they welcomed a son, I believe their only one, they named him Walter.

Walter Albieri would one day become my grandfather.

In 1922 the couple and their little son moved to Verona and they settled there and raised a family.
Amelia and Ottorino welcomed 5 daughters after moving to Verona. For privacy reasons, I am not listing the names of the living daughters.

Their only son Walter and one daughter Yvonne has died.

Amelia was grandmother to my father Lucio, who was given the middle name of his grandfather, Amelia's husband Ottorino. Amelia had many many more grandchildren. She became a widow, at quite a young age, when Ottorino died at the age of 42 years old.

I never met Amelia and do not know much else about her. I don't even know what she looked like since I have never seen a photo of her either. What I know I have written in this memorial.
I am also told by my mother that she never met Amelia and thought she was already dead when she married my father (Amelia's grandson). She was not even present at the wedding which was in Verona, where she resided.
