William Hartman

William Hartman was born at Groveland, Ill., November 11th, 1869, and died at Watseka, Ill., Sunday, August 11th, at 6:30 a.m. having reached the age of 59 years and eight months.
Soon after his birth he was received, as a member, into the Lutheran Church in the holy rite of baptism.
When he had grown to manhood he chose farming as his life occupation. He lived on a farm nine miles east of Cullom the remainder of his life, his mother making her home with him until her death last fall.
Although Mr. Hartman had been sick for some time, his end came very suddenly Sunday morning as the result of a paralytic stroke.
His loss is mourned by two brothers, Philip and George, of near Herscher, Ill.; five sisters - Mrs. Kate Henrichs, of Verndale, Minn., Mrs. Lizzie Newman, of Storm Lake, Iowa; Mrs. Mary Wirkus, of Kankakee; Mrs. Sophia Greier, of Chicago; Mrs. Lena Fredrichs, of Crescent City.
Funerla Services were held at St. John's Lutheran church in Cullom Monday afternoon in charge of Rev. Ide. Burial was in West Lawn cemetery.
Those who attended the funeral from a distance were: Mrs. Sovena Grier, of Chicago; Mrs. Lena Fredericks; of Crescent City; Mr. and Mrs. Gus Wirkus and daughter, of Kankakee; Mr. and Mrs. George Brenner and daughter, of Cissna Park.
