John Braun AKA John Brown, A 22 year old German-Born Shoemaker, standing 5' 0" with dark hair, pale complexion and blue eyes, when he enlisted as a Private in Company D of the 75th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry Regiment in Philadelphia Pennsylvania on August 23 1861, Discharged on Surgeon's certificate of disability on January 27, 1863. He was originally interred at German Lutheran Cemetery (DEFUNCT). Probably re interred here at Philadelphia Memorial Park. Husband of Caroline Braun/Brown.

As a widower, Johannes Braun remarried 04 Apr 1859 to Caroline Ernestine Klumpp (she was already a widow of Carl Lorenz Springer).
