DOROTHY C WHITNEY
CONCORD, NH - Dorothy C Whitney, 56, of 120 School St, died Monday at Elliot Hospital, Manchester, after a long illness.
Mrs Whitney was born in Burlington, VT, and had spent her early life in Colchester, VT. She was a 1944 graduate at the University of Vermont where she was a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority.
She had lived in Concord for the past 25 years and had been active in St Paul's Episcopal Church and various organizations. She was a member of Chapter B of PEO of Concord, the Concord Bird and Wildflower Club, Concord Hospital Auxiliary, Flower Mission of Concord and St Paul's Episcopal Church.
She is survived by her husband, Dr Robert L Whitney of Concord; four daughters; one son; her mother; two grandchildren; two sisters; two brothers; one uncle; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 pm at St Paul's Episcopal Church, Concord, with the Rev David G Hamilton, rector, officiating. Burial will follow in Blossom Hill Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
The family requests that memorial contributions may be made in her memory to St Paul's Episcopal Church, Park Street, Concord, NH 03301.
