Mr. Anderson died Sunday at the David E. Foster Hospice Unit at Palestine Regional Medical Center. He was born March 17, 1930 in Pelly TX., to Adam Raymond Anderson and Pearl Griffin Anderson. He was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church. Mr. Anderson was a 50 year member of the Baytown Masonic Lodge where he was a 32nd Degree Mason and a Shriner. He retired from Exxon Chemical Baytown in 1993. He was also a charter Member of the Baytown Fair Association, a 50 year member of the Quarter Horse Association, retired Assistant Chief of Baytown Voluntary Fire Department, and coached the East Little League Eagles in Baytown for over 30 years.

Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Lorene Walker and a brother Charles Anderson.

Pallbearers will be Tim Brazil, Cody Anderson, Vic Stafford, Jody Wyers, Lonnie Lathrop, Horace Page, Tommy Byrd, and Ben Wallace. Honorary pallbearers will be James Fulton, James Massindale, and Jonathan Pugh.

Services for Ray Anderson age 86, of Grapeland will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Bailey & Foster Funeral Chapel Grapeland with Rev. Josh Mills officiating. Burial will follow in Parker Cemetery.
