Funeral services for Harold Ware, Sr. will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, October 7, 2016 at White Oaks Memorial Chapel with Brother Greg Strother officiating.
Committal service will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery under the direction of White Oaks Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Harold, 81, of Oakdale, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 in his residence with his loving family by his side.
He was born July 16, 1935 in Oakdale to the union of John Ware and Lou Ella (Ashworth) Ware. He was a Pentecostal by Faith and retired from the logging industry. Harold enjoyed gardening and selling his produce.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Earl Ware and Steve Ware; and one son, James Ware.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are: his loving wife of 27 years, Martha Huffman Ware of Oakdale; four sons, Aubrey Ware of Oakdale, Jimmy Ware of Eunice, Harold Ware, Jr. of Pine Prairie and Harvey Ware of Livonia; two daughters, Patsy Leggett of Pine Prairie and Gaynell Hodge of Oakdale; three stepsons, Damon Huffman of Oakdale, Claude Hayes of Oklahoma and Buddy Hayes of Olla; two stepdaughters, Martha Snyder and Mary Hayes both of Pineville; one sister, Jeannie Deshotel of Mamou; thirty-two grandchildren; forty-eight great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers to serve will be Mike Snyder, Robert Snyder, Jimmy Wayne Ware, Jimmy Ware, Damon Huffman and Tim Adley.
Visitation will be held at White Oaks Memorial Chapel, Thursday, October 6, 2016 from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m., then on Friday, October 7, 2016 from 8 a.m. until service time at 10 a.m. in the chapel.
