Mrs. Brown was an Army nurse during WWII, who also was an escort for Eleanor Roosevelt during her tours of Pacific Hospitals. At home, she continued her nursing career at various sites including as a school nurse for Conrad High School and H.J. Krebs Elementary School. She was a former member of St. Matthews Church and the Solidary of the Blessed Virgin Mother.
Mrs. Brown will always be remembered as a dedicated wife of 40 years to Walter A. Brown who preceded her in death in 1983 and greatly missed as a mother and grandmother by her children: son, Daniel A. and his wife, Cindy and daughter, Joy Pinto and her husband, Charlie; sisters, Elsie Iamurr¡ and Gloria McInerney, and brother, James R. McInerney, all of Lancaster, PA; 7 grandchildren, Douglas, Kevin, Jackie, Charlie Jr., Dan, Becky and Jeffrey; and 2 step-grandchildren, Peter and Stephanie.
