Janice “Jan-Jan” Wilson Pierce, 69 of Tunnelton, (Campground Community) went to be with the lord on Friday, October 14, 2016 at Ruby Memorial Hospital with family by her side.
She was born on February 15, 1947 in Grafton, daughter of the late Ernest Carl and Eunice Marie Cornwell Wilson. She graduated from Fellowsville High School Class of 1965 and got her Bachelors in Education at Fairmont State College. She retired with over 30 years as a Teacher for the Preston County School System, teaching at Newburg and a majority of her career at Tunnelton-Denver School.
“Jan-Jan” loved spending time with family and friends. She was a member of the Camp Chapel United Methodist Church. “Jan-Jan” is survived by her loving husband, Larry W Pierce of 47 years, Tunnelton; one son, Colin Pierce and fiancé Valerie, Tunnelton; one daughter, Carmine Wilson Hammonds and husband Brian, Tunnelton; three grandchildren, Olivia Wilson, Devon Hammonds and Sarah Nicklow; one sister-in-law, Sherley Wolfe and husband George “Junior”, Marquess; her cousin, Roberta Knotts and Denzil, Fellowsville; special kids, Madison “Maddie” Willis, Hunter Austin and Tyson Austin.
Family and friends will be received at Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown St. Newburg, WV, on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 from 2-8pm, and on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 from 9am until time of service at 11:00 am the Pastor Brian Long officiating.
