Injuries received Tuesday when his truck overturned on him as he swerved to avoid hitting a woman and baby in a car proved fatal Thursday to Otto Ault, 38, Humble Oil company, driver-salesman. Amputation of his leg at Hotel Dieu was necessary. And he was reported paralyzed in the accident, which occurred at Orange and Corley streets. Surviving Ault, who lived at 1312 Roberts street, are his wife, Mrs. Rae Ault, and one son, William Melvin of Beaumont; four brothers, Pete Ault of Beaumont, Lee and Fred Ault of Austin, and Gene Alt of the U.S. Marines in the South Pacific; four sisters, Mrs. A.W. Lenoir, Mrs. G.L. Tomlin, Mrs. Willie Mae Rowell and Mrs. Ruth Jensen, all of Beaumont. Roberts Undertaking company was to announce the rites.
